BOGOR, June 7, 2026 – Aisyah Chustiya Cahyaningsih, a talented student from the Applied Foreign Languages Department at Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), has carved out a proud national achievement by winning the Silver Medal in the Essay and Poster Competition at the prestigious IDEA FESTIVAL (IDF) 5.
The national competition, organized by the Sentosa Foundation in collaboration with the Bogor Science Club of IPB University (BSC IPB), took place from June 6–7, 2026, at IPP Bogor.
Breaking traditional academic silos, Aisyah joined forces with a multidisciplinary team comprising students from UNDIP’s Faculty of Medicine and Sebelas Maret University’s (UNS) Faculty of Humanities. Competing under the Tourism and Culture subtheme, the team captivated the judges with their innovative paper titled: “The Strategic Role of the Youth in Developing and Preserving Kasepuhan Ciptagelar Culture Through Digital Simulation Game Innovation.”
The road to the podium at IDF 5 was highly competitive. It began with a rigorous scientific essay selection process, followed by an intense final round. As finalists, the team was challenged to pitch their ideas through a scientific poster presentation. They didn’t just present arguments; they demonstrated the real-world relevance, logic, and scalability of their innovation.
The core of their ideas addresses a modern challenge: How do we keep ancient local wisdom alive in the digital age?
The team proposed using an interactive digital simulation game as a modern educational tool. By blending technology with heritage, the game is designed to introduce and instill the deep-rooted cultural values of the Kasepuhan Ciptagelar community to the younger generation in a fun, adaptive, and relatable way.
This milestone is a beautiful example of how cross-disciplinary synergy can spark unique solutions. By combining perspectives from foreign languages, humanities, and health sciences, the team was able to create a holistic approach to cultural preservation.
UNDIP hopes that Aisyah’s brilliant achievement will inspire fellow students to step out of their comfort zones, collaborate across fields, and innovate fearlessly. Beyond a personal victory, this award stands as a meaningful contribution by Indonesia’s youth to keeping local culture thriving through creativity and technology.
