Semarang, September 9, 2026 —The Applied Foreign Languages Study Program, Vocational School, Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), is once again holding its annual program titled “UNDIP Global Classroom 2026,” running from September 8 to October 23, 2026. The program is an internationalization initiative aligned with Undip’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in promoting global partnerships and quality education.
This year’s Global Classroom brings together eleven academics and practitioners from various countries as guest lecturers, enriching cross-cultural and interdisciplinary insight for Applied Foreign Languages students. The invited speakers include Yasuka Fukaya, Ph.D from Kyushu University, Japan; Dr. Carmen Silvestri from the University of Reading, United Kingdom; Stamatia Savvani, Ph.D from the University of Antwerp, Belgium; and Giovanni Ma, Ph.D from The Westin Hotel Melbourne, Australia.
Also participating are Lee Kok Yueh, Ph.D from Universiti Teknologi Brunei; Adriana Piccinini H, Ph.D and Hiroshi Emoto, Ph.D, both from Akashi National College of Technology, Japan; Prof. Dr. Parinitha from Mangalore University, India; and Dr. Xuan Son Doan from Green World Hotel Nha Trang, Vietnam. Rounding out the lineup are Hoang Nam T, Ph.D from Tokushima University, Japan, and Jeffrey Dawala W, Ph.D from Suranaree University of Technology, Thailand.
The diverse institutional backgrounds of the speakers — spanning universities, the hospitality industry, and vocational education institutions across nine countries — reflect the extensive international network built by Undip’s Applied Foreign Languages Study Program. The Global Classroom program is expected to give students direct access to global perspectives in the fields of language, tourism, hospitality, and education.
Through this series of classes and discussions with international experts, Undip aims to strengthen the quality of learning while equipping students with cross-national insights relevant to the demands of the global workforce.<>
